Do i need an insurance inspection?

Has your insurer requested a survey / condition report / risk evaluation on your vessel? Most insurers will request a survey report once a vessel reaches a certain age (differs from one insurer to another).

An insurer will request an inspection report as they must determine the “risk” of insuring your vessel. A vessel must be maintained to particular safe and seaworthy standard. If your vessel does not meet these standards the insurer will request repairs and maintenance to be carried with evidence such as invoices from reputable repairs prior to offering coverage or in extreme cases denying any coverage at all!
